Who Are We
The National Association of Baptist Schools Accreditation (NABS) is a process of self-evaluation followed by a visit of objective observers, designed to help Baptist schools improve the quality of their programs.
The process is completely voluntary and available for every school operated by a single congregation, by a hiyrid sponsorship congregation, or by a Baptist Church—in the United States or Canada.
What We Do
NABS is a rigorous national accrediting agency designed to evaluate schools based on their unique purpose as Baptist schools.
It helps schools evaluate not only the quality of the academics and programs, but also most importantly the spiritual dimension of the school based on the Baptist of Canada missions and ideals. The standards for Baptist Schools are similar to those used by other accrediting agencies, both secular and religious.
Our Members
Our accreditation members are made up of representatives from various participating districts and regions of the Baptist Church—in the United States and the Baptist of Canada governed by NABS. The process is owned and operated by the District and Congregation Services of the Baptist Church and is a service of the Baptist School Ministry. Over 88 Baptist schools of all types are currently accredited by NABS.
